Having a good mix of colors in the wardrobe offers more options to your everyday attire and definitely helps spice things up. It was for this reason that I went to Valley Fair to find some shirts with colored pattern and this got my attention. This Club Monaco red checkered shirt is a great casual shirt to own because it not only looks great by itself but is also fairly easy to mix and match with other clothes to achieve a great sense of balance and style.

This long sleeve shirt has a dark red checkered pattern. One thing I particularly like about it is that it features snap buttons for every closure ranging from its two chest pockets to the four button cuffs. I've always preferred snap buttons to conventional ones due to their convenience and this shirt is one of the few ones I own that actually has snap buttons for all closures. It's made of great quality material so comfort is guaranteed.

As usual with any casual button shirts, a cool way to wear one is to leave the top buttons undone and maybe even the bottom one as well, as shown in the picture. This way lets others see what you wear underneath and the contrast resulted from the two shirts can oftentimes showcase your fashion sense, depending on what color and style you want the inner shirt to be. White is always a good choice. Furthermore, you can roll up the long sleeves of either the checkered shirt or both shirts to form layers. Experiment around and find out whichever style suits you the best. For me, this shirt goes perfectly with light blue jeans and my Converse All Star pink shoes.
