This military pique polo shirt from EXPRESS is what I would regard as the middle ground between a full on military uniform and an outdoor casual shirt. It lacks that hardened and orderly look that military attire is known for and instead opts for the more relaxed and at-ease comfort of a polo shirt. I was searching for polo shirts mainly because I exercise frequently and want to have a dependable sports shirt. Add to the fact that I always have room for military styled clothing, this one fits the bill nicely.

The front of this polo features two button flap pockets as well as a five-button placket. The military vibe comes from the two button epaulettes at shoulder. Other visual details include the embroidered lion logo on hem and the two clear lines that run from shoulders to waist.

There are six colors to choose from ranging from different intensities of blue to black. I decided to get the one in heather gray after trying out all of them. For me, the shirt looks quite natural in that color compared to those in different shades of blue. Plus it goes very well with either white or black shorts.

Needless to say the shirt is very comfortable and the cotton fabric fits my body perfectly and somehow makes me look even slimmer. I've always wanted to add a few polo shirts to my collection for when I go jogging or work out at a gym during summer, and this added military flavor pretty much seals the deal.
